About
The Threads Section meets once a month to learn a new skill, create a project, or simply share the love of creating beautiful objects with textiles and creativity.
Details and Other Information
This is a good place to meet members, chat with new and old friends, try new techniques, learn a craft, finish an old project that has been lingering for years on your shelves. Excellent for grandmothers wishing to create heirlooms.
We can organize classes as requested and/or needed.
Bring your skills or come and learn. All are welcome, no need to commit to once a week. Come when you want.
Schedule
Threads meets once a week on Thursdays from 10:30AM to noon in the South Wing. Once a month, when the Garden section holds a meeting, usually on the first Thursday of the month, we meet with the HandCrafters group at the Chevy Chase Library. A reminder email is sent every Wednesday (as long as the organizers don’t forget 😊).
Resources
Members bring their own supplies.
The Threads Section inherited some yarn that is available to get started on a knitting or crochet project. If you are interested, please contact the section head. Bring your own needles.
