The Community Service Section engages in two types of charity activities. First, members research charities and non-profits to select organizations for philanthropic grants and donations. Second, monthly hands-on projects are scheduled, such as bag lunches for food kitchens, clothing drives, heart pillows for breast cancer patients, diaper drives for shelters, and other philanthropic activities.
Details and Other Information
Recommendations for donations are presented to the Board in March. Following approval by the Board, recommendations are presented at the General Meeting for vote by the membership. Grant checks are sent out in early April.
Schedule
Meetings occur on the second Tuesday of each month.
