The Nominating Committee seeks qualified candidates for the Club’s executive positions.

The Nominating Committee provides a slate of Executive Committee Nominees in even numbered years and addresses Office Vacancies that may occur throughout an Executive Committee term.
In even numbered years, when the Executive Committee turns over, the Nominating Committee considers members who have the knowledge and experience to fill each Executive Committee position. The slate is presented in March, first to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, then to the Club membership at the March General meeting, where nominations from the floor may be made. Nominations from the membership may also be made via email to the Corresponding Secretary. All nominees must have provided consent. Nominations are collated into a slate which is pulbished in the April bulletin. Election of officers occurs by ballot at the April General Meeting, though email ballots are also accepted prior to the April General Meeting. Officers are elected by majority of votes, provided a quorum is present. New officers are installed at the General Meeting in May.
In case of a vacancy in an elected office not otherwise provided for in the Bylaws, the Nominating Committee selects and presents the name of one candidate to the Executive Committee for confirmation, with final approval by the Club membership at the next General Meeting.

The Nominating Committee meets as needed.
Members
Members of the Nominating Committee are selected by a multi-stage process. The name of one member from each Standing Committee and from each Section is provided to the Corresponding Secretary in early May of even numbered years, and the Corresponding Secreatary produced a ballot. The ballot is voted upon at the June Board of Director's meeting to elect seven Nominating Committee members and two alternatives to serve for the next two years. The member receiving the greatest number of votes shall call, and chair, the first meeting of the Nominating Committee, at which time the new Committee shall elect from its seven members, a chair. The Committee serves for the two-year duration. Members of the Nominating Committee need to have been members for at least two years.
