Mystery Mansion is a family-friendly haunted house experience hosted by The Woman's Club of Chevy Chase. Members transform the Clubhouse into a complex maze of dark, scary, creative, fun rooms and spaces for the community to explore. The Committee starts planning months before Halloween, creating the spooky spaces around a new theme each year. The lawn is also transformed into a fall party space, often with bands and music, food, bonfires, and s'mores.

Mystery Mansion is a very fun way to plug in, get to know other members, and contribute to a fantastic community event. Mystery Mansion needs all kinds of volunteers, including artistic types to create scenes, building types to set up false walls, outgoing types who can act as different characters during the event, and much more. There are also opportunities to help plan the food offerings, assemble s'mores kits, check tickets at the entrance, monitor the bonfires, help sell food such as donuts and popcorn, help guide the crowd, and much more.
Schedule
The Committee starts the creative process months before Halloween, meeting regularly to share fun, spooky ideas. The weeks before the event, members work together to build and decorate the Clubhouse, transforming it into an experience that would impress Walt Disney himself. The event itself takes place during the weekends leading up to Halloween.
