About
The Clubhouse and Grounds Committee cares for the physical elements of the WCCC Clubhouse and Grounds.
Details and Other Information
The Clubhouse grounds site includes the yard and landscaping, the parking lot and walkway, trees and gardens. The Building site includes the roof, basement and everything in between - plumbing, electrical, windows, storage allocation, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.
The committee includes several mandatory positions from other committees, as well as members who are interested in participating in the support and maintenance of the Clubhouse site. Committee members include the Finance Chair, the Personnel Chair and the Assistant Treasurer as voting members, and the Co-Presidents are non-voting members.
The Clubhouse and Grounds Chair is a designated member of the Building Preservation, Finance, and Personnel Committees, and serves as the supervisor of the Clubhouse Manager.
The care and maintenance of the Clubhouse and Grounds is the biggest expense for the WCCC. It is also the biggest source of revenue. Our building was built in the 1940's. Like any cherished 80 year old building, it requires diligence, attention to detail, and flexibility to maintain.
Schedule
Meetings of the Clubhouse and Grounds Committee occur on the second Tuesday of the month at 10AM. The Clubhouse and Grounds meeting is followed by the Finance Committee meeting at 11:30 AM. The Clubhouse and Grounds Chair is a statutory member of the Finance and Personnel committees.
